CMETB pays tribute to Councillor Seamus Coyle

It is with great sadness that Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board (CMETB) has learned of the death of Councillor Seamus Coyle.

Councillor Coyle was a serving Board member of CMETB and previously held the role of Chairperson of the Board. In the past, he also served on County Monaghan Vocational Education Committee. Throughout his years in public life, he was a dedicated public representative who made a significant contribution to the communities he served and to the work of CMETB.
Chairperson of CMETB, April Anna Barker, said:
“On behalf of the Board members and staff of CMETB, I wish to express our deepest sympathies to Councillor Coyle’s family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time. Seamus was a committed public representative who worked tirelessly on behalf of his community. His contribution to CMETB and to public life will not be forgotten.”
Chief Executive of CMETB, Dr Fiona McGrath added:
“Seamus brought a wealth of experience and local knowledge to CMETB and was always willing to share his perspective. His passing is a significant loss for the community he served.”
The Board members and staff of CMETB extend their sincere condolences to Councillor Coyle’s family and loved ones at this sad time.
