Celebrating Excellence: Monaghan Institute’s Sport and Academic Scholars 2025–2026

Monaghan Institute is proud to honour the achievements of our students through the presentation of Sport and Academic Scholarships for the 2025–2026 academic year. These awards reflect our commitment to recognising talent, dedication, and hard work both in the classroom and on the field.

Academic Scholarships are presented to first-year students who achieved 400 points or more in their Leaving Certificate. This year, we congratulate Rafa Murphy (Barbering Year 1) and Nikola Fjodorovska (Beauty Therapy Level 5) for their outstanding academic success.

Our Sports Scholarships celebrate students who excel in their chosen disciplines and demonstrate exceptional commitment to their sport. Congratulations to Annie Rooney (Powerlifting, PLC Access Course), Dane Flanagan (Boxing, OEM Apprenticeship), James Canning (Rugby, Phase 2 Electrical Apprenticeship), and Cormac O’Hanlon (Gaelic Football, Pre-Nursing) on their remarkable achievements.

These scholarships not only reward excellence but also encourage students to continue striving for success. Monaghan Institute is delighted to support these talented individuals as they pursue their academic and sporting goals.

Next year you could be a scholarship recipient!

Our applications are NOW OPEN. Interested students can apply directly to us on our website at www.monaghaninstitute.ie. If you require further information on studying at Monaghan Institute this September 2026, please email info@monaghaninstitute.ie.
