CMETB Adult Learners Festival 2026: Learning Opportunities in Cavan and Monaghan

Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board is delighted to take part in Adult Learners Festival 2026, which runs from Monday 2nd to Friday 6th March 2026. This national festival, led by AONTAS, celebrates adult and community education and highlights the many ways learning can support individuals, families and communities across Ireland.

Adult Learners Festival is an annual opportunity to encourage adults to engage with learning, whether they are returning to education after a break, developing new skills, or exploring a personal interest. Throughout the week, CMETB will deliver a wide range of free taster sessions and short workshops across counties Cavan and Monaghan, making learning accessible and welcoming for all.

This year’s programme includes creative and practical classes, wellbeing and health focused sessions, introductory digital and technology courses, language learning, and opportunities to meet with adult guidance and information staff. These sessions are designed to give participants a flavour of what is available locally through CMETB’s Adult Education Service, with no prior experience required.

Events will take place in adult education centres, community venues and local libraries across both counties, allowing learners to connect with tutors and other participants in their own area. The festival also provides an opportunity to find out more about progression options and supports for those considering further education or training.

CMETB looks forward to welcoming adult learners of all ages during the week and encouraging everyone to discover the benefits of lifelong learning.

Full details of events and venues are available in the festival schedule pictured or you can get the most up to date information on our social media channels.
