Local Youth Club Grant Scheme 2025 – Now Open for Applications

CMETB Youth Services is pleased to announce the opening of the Local Youth Club Grant Scheme 2025. Local volunteer-led youth groups are invited to apply for funding via the online platform: https://cmetb.submit.com

The application process will go live on Monday, 24 February 2025, and the closing date for applications is Friday, 14 March 2025, at 5pm.

The Local Youth Club Grant Scheme is funded by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) and aims to support volunteer-led youth clubs/groups that engage with young people. The scheme prioritizes funding for groups working with young people aged 10–21 years and encourages applications from organizations that provide youth work activities in line with the National Quality Standards for Volunteer-led Youth Groups (NQSVLYG).

Commenting on the launch of the scheme, Sonya McQuaid, Youth Officer with CMETB, said:

“We are excited to open the Local Youth Club Grant Scheme for 2025, which provides a vital opportunity for volunteer-led youth groups to enhance their activities and services for young people in the community. This initiative plays a key role in empowering volunteers and ensuring that quality youth work is accessible to all young people, regardless of their background. We encourage all eligible youth groups to apply and make the most of this funding opportunity.”

The grant scheme is designed to assist groups in providing a diverse range of youth work activities, with a maximum grant allocation of €3,000 per group. In addition to traditional youth clubs, other clubs or groups that engage with young people, but do not specifically provide youth work, are also eligible to apply.
