The CMETB Careers Fair made a triumphant return on Tuesday, 14 November 2023, at The Slieve Russell Hotel, Cavan.
Following a short hiatus due to the pandemic, the event returned bigger than ever, delivering a jam-packed experience for the approx. 1,500 students in attendance.
The primary objective of the Careers Fair was to guide and support secondary level students in exploring a vast array of academic and career paths, enabling them to explore and consider different pathways that aligned with their individual aspirations and interests.
Having been extremely successful in the past, the CMETB Careers Fair proved to be hugely beneficial for all students who attended.
With over 40 stands at the event, the fair invigorated academic and career aspirations, offering a range of opportunities. The event showcased prominent Irish and UK Universities, Technological Universities, Institutes of Technology, Further Education Colleges, Monaghan Institute, Cavan Institute, CMETB Apprenticeships and Traineeships, and an array of other supports and services.
Paddy Flood, Director of Schools at CMETB, said, “We hoped the Careers Fair would unveil a world of opportunities to our students, providing them with the crucial time and space needed to explore a wide array of education and career pathways to inspire and resonate with their future aspirations. It was wonderful to see wide participation from our schools and the exhibitors in attendance. We are already looking forward to seeing the event return next year!”
