Virginia College was founded in 1962. The school has grown rapidly over the years and has a present enrolment of 740 students.

The aim of Virginia College is to prepare our students for work, further education and life. The motto of the school is “ Tús Feasa Fiafraí”, meaning knowledge begins with questions. We expect and encourage the highest academic standards as well as placing a strong emphasis on developing the whole person. The development of the whole person- academic, spiritual, cultural, physical and creative- is a priority in our education process. This is also reflected in the many extra-curricular activities in the school.
